What is the difference between lab-grown diamonds and real diamonds?

Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds. Chemically, physically and optically identical to natural diamonds. Pure carbon in a cubic crystal lattice, hardness 10 on the Mohs scale. The only difference is the origin: natural diamonds form over millions of years deep below the earth's surface, lab-grown diamonds are grown under controlled conditions in a few weeks.

At ANNARELLE I work exclusively with lab-grown diamonds in colour D-F (colourless) and clarity VS+ (eye-clean). With natural diamonds, this quality level would be barely affordable. The IGI, the same institute that certifies natural diamonds, issues an independent certificate for every ANNARELLE stone from 0.5 ct.

How do I choose the right diamond jewellery as a gift?

Is lab-grown diamond jewellery "real" jewellery?

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically and physically identical to natural diamonds. I have every stone from 0.5 ct certified by the IGI, the same independent institute that also grades natural diamonds. The certificate states the stone's colour, clarity, cut and carat.

Is real diamond jewellery suitable for children?

Yes, if it is designed for children. The child versions of Mini-Me are crafted in 14k solid gold, with DEKRA-tested alloys free of harmful substances. The proportions, chain length, stud size and carat weight are adapted especially for smaller ears and necks. Recommended minimum age: around 6 years. How long does delivery take at ANNARELLE?

Pieces in stock ship within 3 to 4 working days. Pieces not in stock are made especially for you, so allow around 4 to 6 weeks of production time, plus shipping. All shipping is insured.
