Lab-grown diamonds

What is a lab-grown diamond?

A lab-grown diamond, also called a laboratory-grown diamond, is a diamond made in a laboratory. It is made of pure carbon in a cubic crystal lattice, has a hardness of 10 and is graded by IGI for cut, color, clarity and carat. The difference from a natural diamond lies in its origin: made in a laboratory instead of in the earth.

Is a lab-grown diamond a real diamond?

A lab-grown diamond is not an imitation. It is made of pure carbon, has a hardness of 10 and is graded by IGI against the same four criteria as any diamond. ANNARELLE is centered on laboratory-grown diamonds, with selected natural diamonds as well. Our rubies and sapphires are always laboratory-grown.

Are the diamonds certified?

Yes, every lab-grown diamond from 0.5 carat comes with an IGI certificate; natural diamonds from 0.5 carat come with a GIA report. Very small stones, such as in a pavé setting, are not certified individually, as is standard in the industry; we measure them with our own equipment.

The report number is on your invoice after purchase and in your customer account. You can use it to verify the report on the IGI or GIA website at any time.

Can you tell a lab-grown diamond from a natural diamond?

Not with the naked eye and not with standard gemological equipment either. The origin can only be determined in specialist labs. The IGI report states it explicitly.

Material and quality

Which gold does ANNARELLE use?

Only 14 karat (585) and 18 karat (750) solid gold in yellow, white and rose gold. No plating. No rolled gold. Solid gold means the whole piece is made of the gold alloy, not just the surface.

Is ANNARELLE jewelry suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. Our 14 and 18 karat alloys are nickel-free and tested by DEKRA for harmful substances such as nickel, lead and cadmium. If you have a known nickel allergy, please contact us before ordering.

How do I care for my ANNARELLE jewelry?

About once a month with lukewarm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush: soak, brush gently, rinse thoroughly. No chlorine; ultrasonic cleaners only after checking with us.

Store each piece separately, ideally in the ANNARELLE box, because diamonds can scratch other diamonds. Take your jewelry off for sports, for sleeping and for heavy manual work.

How do I find my ring size?

With our ring size guide you can find your size in a few minutes: with a ring that fits you, a piece of string or our paper template to cut out. You can also print the guide or download it as a PDF.

MINI ME

From what age is MINI ME suitable, and what should I keep in mind?

MINI ME is designed for daughters from age six. Proportion, weight and setting are adapted to smaller ears and necks.

Not suitable for children under three, as small parts can be swallowed. Do not wear necklaces and ear studs while sleeping, doing sports or playing rough, or during activities with a helmet. Jewelry is not a toy. Supervision is the responsibility of parents and guardians.

Please also read our notes on Safety & Responsibility for children's jewelry.

Is the quality of MINI ME the same as for the adult pieces?

Yes. The same 14 karat solid gold, the same lab-grown diamonds, the same craftsmanship. The difference is the proportion: designed for smaller ears and necks.

Orders and shipping

How long does delivery take?

As a rule, we make pieces to order, which takes about four to six weeks. Pieces in stock reach you in three to four working days.

How is the jewelry packaged?

Every piece comes in our signature gift box in dusty rose with gold foil and tissue paper, ready to give. On request, we add a handwritten card with your message.

Is the parcel insured?

Yes. We only ship insured and free of charge. Returns with our return label are insured too. If you would like to send something yourself, please contact us first: regular carriers usually exclude jewelry from liability or insure it only to a very limited extent.

Returns and warranty

Can I return the jewelry?

Yes. You have the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, even for pieces made after you order. On top of that, we voluntarily give you 30 days to return a piece from delivery, without giving a reason. The jewelry must be unworn, with its tag and in its original packaging. Engraved pieces are excluded from the voluntary return.

How does the free return work?

Log in at my.annarelle.com and follow the return process. There you will get your return label. We refund the purchase price within ten working days of receipt.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. We give a two-year warranty on material and manufacturing defects with proper use. You will find the details in our warranty terms. And if something needs repair later, we repair it.

What if my jewelry arrives damaged?

Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo at store@annarelle.com. We will take care of it right away.
